SPLIT S
The Split S is another logical development in learning to combine loops
and rolls. This time, the half roll precedes the half loop, making the
maneuver a mirror image of the Immelmann.
The Split S provides course reversal and an easy increase in speed.
For that reason, it is commonly placed in sequences to follow figures that
end with low airspeed, like the Immelmann.
