Special Features |
OTM reminds me of lots of US airports--sort of in the middle of somewhere, really convenient if you need fuel and a short rest. Long runways, WSI weather and friendly staff complete the welcome. The field was built during WWII as a naval training facility (the Navy and cornfields--go figure). Past greats who served here include Scott Crossfield (pilot training) and Richard Nixon (admin post). One of the Tuskeegee airmen also came from this part of Nebraska. |
