Sunrise Aviation has more than thirty aircraft and flight training devices ("simulators") available for rental. We have no minimum pilot requirements beyond FAA Certification. Instead, we require demonstrated competence in very thorough VFR and IFR checkout flights. If desired, an FAA Flight Review can be incorporated into the standard checkout process--often with only a small amount of added ground and flight time..

All Sunrise aircraft are equipped with intercoms and dispatched with headsets. Many models have DME or GPS.

Sunrise is one of the few US schools to offer extensive tailwheel training. All of our tailwheel aircraft, from the Cub to the Extra, are available for rental after completion of checkout flight.
