Certificated Flight Instructor-Instrument
There are four distinct Sunrise Instructor courses:

• Airplane
• Sport Pilot
• Instrument
• Multi Engine

The Instrument course is exceptionally thorough, reflecting our intention to make CFI graduates sufficiently skilled to instruct with the school upon graduation (staff openings permitting).

Ideally, the Instrument Instructor course is designed for pilots with prior experience teaching Primary students. Only after pilots have mastered the art of basic flight instruction--flying and teaching at the same time--do they become good candidates for the specialized skills required of an instrument instructor.

The Sunrise Instrument Instructor course serves as as opportunity for applicants to assure themselves that their understanding of all IFR operations is flawless. At the same time, instrument flight skills are polished to the levels necessary for the graduate CFI to move comfortably from the clasroom into professional flight instructing.
